Description of Services
Pojo Explorations LLC sells guided field services rather than packaged holiday tours. Our core offer is five linked services. Route scouting expeditions send a small, fast party ahead of a main crew to test and open a travel line. Mapping support turns field notes into clear sheets a tired navigator can trust. Camp setup crews prepare a base camp so it works before the team returns.
Field logistics stages fuel, food, batteries and dry kit so the right load waits at the right point on the right date. Gear shuttle runs move heavy instruments and rations between roadhead, cache and camp while an agile crew keeps its energy for the ground. Permit navigation helps a team secure the paperwork agencies require before any crew enters a zone.
Services are scoped per expedition and confirmed in a written plan before any deposit is asked. The plan names the dates, the ground, the crew size, the covered tasks and the price. Work beyond that written plan is a separate agreement, and we will tell you the cost before we start any extra task rather than surprise you on the invoice.
Eligibility to Book
Our service is built for responsible adults who run or belong to a small field team. To book you should be at least eighteen years old, hold the authority to commit a crew to a schedule and be able to answer for the people who travel under your name. A corporate sponsor that books on behalf of staff is bound as the expedition lead for these terms.
Every participating member must honestly disclose their fitness and experience before a route is chosen. A crew that asks to run an advanced pass line needs members who can handle that ground. If a member hides a limitation that matters, the safety of the whole team can suffer, and acceptance of a booking can be withdrawn where we cannot work around the mismatch.
We may decline a booking for good cause without needing to publish the reason to the wider world. Common causes include an unsafe mismatch between crew ability and ground, a request that would break a permit or a history of damaged or unpaid field arrangements. A decline is delivered plainly and promptly so a lead can plan another way.
Quotations and Pricing
A quotation is our estimate for the expedition named in the written plan. It covers the agreed field days, the crew size given at the time and the tasks the plan lists. Our prices reflect the real cost of scouting time, fuel, rations, permits and support labor rather than a hidden premium against surprises.
Quotations stay valid for the window stated on the plan, usually thirty days, because fuel prices and permit fees move with the season. After that window we may restate the price based on current costs. A price is confirmed only when a written plan and a clear total are before you, not when an early phone call mentions a rough number.
Where a tax or a regulator charge applies to your expedition, it is shown separately or folded into the total clearly, and we do not add undisclosed surcharges at the door. If the shape of the expedition changes after the quote, the price is re-stated openly before the changed work begins.
Deposits and Payment
A deposit holds your expedition on the season board. The deposit amount appears in the written plan and is normally a portion of the total, sized so both sides can rely on the date being real. Payment is taken through a licensed processor, and card numbers are never stored in the plain files of the field office.
The balance falls due before the expedition begins, on the date the plan states. We send a clear reminder ahead of time so a busy lead is not caught out at the trailhead. Dates and Reservations

We will tell you promptly if a date must move for reasons beyond our control, such as a closed pass or an agency change, and we will offer a reasonable alternative before assuming anything. Where we have to shift a date through no fault of yours, the deposit follows you to the new date and no change fee is added.
Please confirm your crew list and final numbers a set number of days before travel, as the plan states. Late additions may be refused where logistics could not reasonably absorb them, and reductions may change the price where the budget was tied to a larger group than actually travels.
Changes to Your Booking
Plans change in the field business more often than either side wishes. If you need to reshape your expedition, tell us as early as possible and we will fit the new shape where the season and the permits allow. A modest edit to dates or crew size is often absorbed without a charge.
Substantial changes that force us to rebuild scouting runs, buy different rations or lose another booking will be costed honestly before we proceed. You always see the revised total before you agree to it, and you are free to decline and keep an older, smaller scope instead.
We make our own changes only where a real need exists, such as a safety concern or a supply failure, and we rarely change the destination without your consent. Where we do move the ground, the quality of the replacement route and the support around it stays to the standard you booked.
Cancellation Terms
Life interferes, and we write cancellation rules that are fair to both sides. If you cancel more than thirty days before departure, your deposit is refunded minus any non recoverable cost already spent, such as a permit fee or a shuttle already paid to a third party.
Cancelling between thirty days and fourteen days before departure returns part of the deposit at the rate named in your plan, and cancellation inside fourteen days generally forfeits the deposit because the season board could not reasonably have re-sold your field dates or your committed cre hire. Crew Member Conduct

You and your members are expected to carry insurance suited to your own lives and to the ground, including cover for personal medical treatment, evacuation and the repatriation that a rough ridge may require.
